The brief for this commission was a free standing wine rack with capacity for 9 bottles, nice and simple.

The wood is a lovely piece of Sycamore around 1.6m by 450mm x 50mm thick. The actual bottle holders are individually hand forged with a leaf and tapered tail to give that elegant finish.

The fixing points were achieved by adding threaded inserts to the wood so small bolts could be used for a secure fit.

The feet are again hand forged and give the whole rack a stable base whilst having that bespoke 1 off look.

Large Light Fitting Globe

The brief was a steel globe around 1.1m diameter to fit around a separate light fitting and the preferred finish was a brushed look.

I set about drawing up several designs which would achieve the brief but also achieve the WOW factor. Eventually I came up with the design in the picture as it had all points mentioned above and allowed access to the light fitting inside.

The globe is made from several different widths of steel which are in scale together and have a consistent thickness of 5mm to allow for the shaping process without deforming.

If I do say my self this makes a spectacular addition to the amazing home it now takes residence in.

Garden Gate & Side Rails

Here we have a hand forged gate and side rails to close up a 4m gap outside the customers property.

The 2 side panels are 1m tall and the gate was 1.3m to help define the entrance. Each vertical bar is hand riveted to the horizontal cross members for that traditional look and secure fitting.

The gate is topped with a hand forged bulls head as requested by the customer.

Fire Side Set

Here we have a commission I was asked to do for a matching log Holder and companion set. The brief was for an organic look with a small log holder and a 3 piece companion set. The organic look comes from the addition of the leaf twist evident on the 4 corners of the log holder and the handle for all 3 tools.

Hand Rails

The brief for this set of hand rails was for a simple but elegant design which would compliment the house but not over power their surroundings.
